Manila, Philippines - The leading motoring enthusiasts take center stage beginning today with the staging of the Trip Ko Phoenix Fuels-Transport Show TSD Rally which marks the revival of auto rally in the country.
The newest fuel and lube supplier in the market, Phoenix Petroleum Philippines has tied up with MP Turbo, one of the country’s top racing teams, to revive the auto rally days. The event is also held in commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the Transport Show, now ongoing at the SMX Convention Center, SM Mall of Asia.
Teams will have a ceremonial take off in front of SMX Convention Center at 7 p.m. with the Mr. & Ms. Eco Tourism /Mossimo Bikini Summit Contestants gracing the event. The group will regroup at the Phoenix Gas Station at Imelda Ave, Cainta, Rizal at 6 a.m. and will officially start at 7 a.m. The finish will be on Sunday, 5:30 p.m. at the same venue. Also on tap are the Phoenix Fuels Economy Runs, the Bridgestone Bracket Runs in BRC and the Villa Escudero Treasure Hunt, where the regrouping area will be done at lunch time.
Six car manufacturers will field three-man teams, namely: Toyota, Hyundai, Kia, Chevrolet, Honda and Mazda. Other car cubs will also be participating, including rally winners from Fun Run Forum, Miata Club, Mazdatech and Circuit Showdown.
The event is backed by the official vehicle provider - Toyota, Bridgestone, Mossimo, My Phone, Padi’s Point, Papa J’s Wiches & Wings, Official lead car by Hyundai Genesis, Outlast Batteries, Foton, Coppertone, and Auto Transporter.
