Torres, Tania top BDO 'Race for Life'

MANILA, Philippines - Doel Torres and Eleanor Tania lorded it over the field in their respective divisions to lead the winners in the third BDO Unibank’s “Race for Life” fun run at SM Mall of Asia grounds recently.

Torres topped the premier 9k run for adult male among BDO employees while Tania reigned in the distaff side of the fund-raising event which drew over 2,000 BDO employees and BDO clients and their families and friends. Deo Miña and Benjamin Teodoro took the next two spots in the men’s division while Antonette Fanega and Carla Divino placed second and third, respectively, to Tania.

Jowie Taguinod and Michelle Estuar ruled the 9k run for non-BDO employees with Renan Morales and Nelsie Marabe finishing second in the men’s and ladies divisions, respectively.

The event was also held to raise funds for the construction of a multi-purpose hall at Starville 3, a BDO Foundation resettlement site, in partnership with the International Federation of the Red Cross/Philippine Red Cross and LGU of Baliuag in Barangay Hinukay in Baliuag, Bulacan.

The other top finishers were (3k adult BDO-male): Marvin Castillo, Eugene Mejia, Victor Victorino; (3k adult non-BDO-male) Joseph Reyes, Michael Villamor; (3k adult BDO-female): Razzel Apalit, Analyn Garces, Florence Valenciano; (3k adult non-BDO-female): Maria Luz Salibio, Helen Panis; (6k adult BDO-male): Raul Villaverde, Donnie Ray Gaspar, George Gutierrez; (6k adult non-BDO-male): Willy Tanoi, Regil Lumawag; (6k adult BDO-female): Marlyn Estrella, Elenita Enriquez, Carissa May Mangabat; (6k adult non-BDO-female): Vicky Ras, Anna Gatbonton.
