US vacation worth P300,000 staked in Summit Invitational raffle

MANILA, Philippines –  A grand golf vacation in San Diego, California easily worth P300,000 is the main raffle prize in the Summit Point Invitational golf tournament set on March 19 at the challenging Summit Point Golf and Country Club in Lipa, Batangas.

The San Diego trip includes two round-trip air tickets plus hotel accommodations and two rounds of golf at Torrey Pines, site of the 2008 US Open. This is on top of hole-in-one prizes that includes a residential lot on the 17th, P100,000 in cash on hole numbers 2 and 13, playing rights on No. 8 and a Mizuno golf set on No. 6.

Tournament sponsors are Mizuno, Sta. Lucia, New Canaan Insurance J & W Golflinks, Rizgolf, Lemans and Robbie Leviste, president of Summit Point Realty, Corp.

Only the first 200 players to sign up will be accepted for the tourney. Entry fee is P4,000 for members and P5,000 for guests inclusive of souvenir item/s, unlimited practice rounds, golf cart (twin-sharing), dinner during the awarding ceremonies.

The tournament is a two-man team handicap competition played over 18 holes. The team with the lowest net aggregate score shall be declared the overall champion. Trophies shall also be awarded to the team with the lowest gross and the top three finishers per division.

The field shall be divided into four divisions based on the average handicap of the team. The lowest club certified individual handicap index of the player released Dec. 2010-Feb. 2011 shall apply.

Deadline for submission of entry is on March 13.
