MANILA, Philippines - Defending champion Maico Buncio of YRS-Elf Moto Oil-Yamaha Racing aims to make its three-in-a-row in the third leg of the 2010 Enersel Forte Philippine Superbikes Championship Series today at the Batangas Racing Circuit in Rosario, Batangas.
A victory would firm up his bid for a four-peat crown in this event sponsored by Enersel Forte, Pagcor Sports, MTRT, Aeromed, Inside Racing Magazine and Stoplight TV.
Providing the challenge are rival Glenn Aguilar of Enersel Forte-Ducati Racing who’s raring to stage a comeback in a bid to wrest the overall lead in the premier Superbikes Open class.
In their last encounter at Clark, Aguilar came too close before checking in second just 3.151 seconds behind. Joining the quest for the title are 15-year-old Dashi Watanabe who had consistently finished third in the past two legs, and former 10-time Superbikes champ Jolet Jao.
“I know they’re raring to bounce back but we’re looking forward to another good show with the racing excellence of our Yamaha Superbike,” said Buncio.
