MANILA, Philippines - Team Therasil/KTM, backstopped by many-time motocross champion Glenn Aguilar, dominated the Enersel Forte Philippine Motocross Championship, winning nine titles and turning in a number of runner-up finishes at the Clark International Speedway in Angeles, Pampanga recently.
Aguilar, the only Filipino to have won an FIM Asian Motocross Championship, lorded it over the field in the Pro Lites, Pro Open and Motard categories of the racefest then finished second in car racing in the Toyota Vitz Cup, ruled by teammate and Enersel Forte owner Jay Lacnit.
Together with his runner-up finish in the Superbikes division, Aguilar went home with five trophies, the most by any racer in the two-day event.
“It was truly exhausting, I lost 10 pounds in a single day, running from one category to another. But it was all worth it,” said Aguilar, an 11-time national motocross champion.
“I’m very happy with my achievements. These five trophies are a perfect advance gift for my coming birthday on June 12,” said Aguilar, backed by Enersel Forte, Therasil Lozenges, Oakley, Bridgestone, Access Plus/KTM/Ducati and MS Motosuit.
