MANILA, Philippines - ROUND 1, the first boxing, muay and mixed martial arts gym in Manila , opened shop over the weekend, hoping to discover and develop young talents who could be part of the national team.
Muay Association of the Philippines (MAP) officer-in-charge and secretary-general Red Dumuk said ROUND 1 could be a big boost to their talent identification program, especially now that the organization is having trouble finding young talents who are willing to play for the country.
Dumuk also said he is expecting ROUND 1 to hold monthly tournaments not only in muay, but also in boxing and the widely popular sport of mixed martial arts.
Owned by young entrepreneur Robert Darell Tan and managed by Randy Valbuena, ROUND 1 is located at the 4th floor EKC Corporate Center in 589 Quintin Paredes Street , Binondo, Manila .
