MANILA, Philippines - The World Slasher Cup-2 Hawaiian Invitational eight-cock derby is eyeing a record field when it is held beginning May 31 at the Araneta Coliseum.
Hosted by the Pintakasi of Champions and co-presented by Thunderbird, the event has already lured 139 local and foreign entries with the roster expected to swell in the next two weeks.
The five-day event will end June 5.
Johnny Jumper, Wilbert LeBlanc, Richard Harris, Brad Padgette, Roger Roberts, Mike Formosa, Jason Campbell, and Speedy Gonzales head the slew of US-based Filipinos with gamefowl farms here in the country competing in the event.
Meanwhile, entries to the Thunderbird and Araneta Coliseum’s Bigtime Ka sa World Slasher Cup raffle promo keep pouring in with more trying their luck for four grand prize winners from Metro Manila, Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao (with one chaperon each) for free hotel accommodations with salon and spa treatment, and viewing of the World Slasher Cup.
Also up for grabs is a trio ( two hens and a broodcock) from Sonny Lagon or any of the Thunderbird winning team members.
