Pacman-Clottey fight live at Big Dome, Hyatt, Bellevue

MANILA, Philippines - Araneta Coliseum will telecast the Manny Pacquiao-Josh Clottey fight live on The Cube, a giant 30-foot screen especially installed for the keenly awaited fight on Sunday.

For as low as P158, fans will get a front seat view of the first boxing match to be held at the newly built, billion-dollar Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Texas.

Gates open at 8 a.m.

Clottey, the Ghanaian challenger, will try to wrest the WBO welterweight crown from the Filipino pound-for-pound king, who became the first fighter to win seven world titles in seven weight divisions with an 11th round stoppage of Puerto Rican Miguel Cotto last year.

The historic boxing pay-per-view event also ushers in the 50th anniversary of the Araneta Coliseum, which has served as host to such legendary fights as the Elorde-Gomes bout on March 16, 1960 and the all-time classic Ali-Frazier match, dubbed the “Thrilla in Manila,” on October 1, 1975.

Over at the Hyatt Hotel and Casino Manila, the fight will be aired live starting at 8 a.m. at The Ballroom. Fee is pegged at P900 net, inclusive of snacks and free-flowing soda, iced tea and local beer, with the fight to be beamed live on three 10x12-ft wide screens, with movie-quality output and superior stereo sound system.

Meanwhile, the Music Bar’s seven Music Pods, which can accommodate from six to 30 people, are also being offered to those who want exclusivity for only P1,300 net per person.

The hotel is also giving a 15 percent discount at The Market Café and Li Li restaurants for ticket-holders dining in either of these outlets on the same day. The hotel will also be giving away jackets, shirts and caps signed by Pacquiao courtesy of San Miguel Corp.

The Bellevue Hotel Manila in Alabang, will also telecast the fight live, also starting at 8 a.m. at the Vue Bar, located at the topmost floor of The Bellevue Tower Wing.
