Sta. Ana hits second ace in Mango Tee

MANILA, Philippines - Another hole-in-one was scored in the Mango Tee member-guest co-presented by Smart and Pilipinas Shell with Juan “Boy” Sta. Ana making himself eligible for a brand new Mitsubishi Lancer EX GLS and a lot more after he aced the 12th hole last Wednesday.

Sta. Ana fired the Mango Tee’s second ace in as many days late in his round with a Honma Beres Rescue Loaf 22 and a Top Flite 1 ball on the 159-yard hole.

The FF Cruz construction executive and Alabang member became the first player to lay claim to a Lancer EX GLS worth more than a million put up by Citimotors and Mitsubishi Motors Philippines, Inc. P100,000 cash from Dona Gregoria Foundation and the ACCI 20 for(e) 20 and a TW Steel watch.

On Tuesday, Bob Labrador aced the water-laced 16th hole to put himself on line for the two prizes on the hole: a Mitsubishi Lancer EX and a Club Car.

Sta. Ana and Labrador will have the prizes just to themselves if no other player scores a similar feat on the same holes in the final two rounds of the six-day event today and tomorrow.

Four variants of the newly-introduced Mitsubishi Lancer EX put up jointly by Citimotors and Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corp. and so many other high-ticket items are being disputed by the 768 entries of the Mango Tee.

Also to be won in the raffle on Saturday, Feb. 6 are more than a million pesos worth of premium items including a Yamaha cart, TW steel watches, two Philippine Airlines tickets to the West Coast and an Asiana trip to any destination in the world.

After Day three, Ramon Garcia Jr. and Mario Badillo are tied with Jose Xerex Burgos and Raul Ilagan combined for the top spot at 85 points, leading by three over Rudy and Jaime Zapanta.
