Nepomuceno, Jalandoni, Javelosa derby champs

MANILA, Philippines - Erwin Nepomuceno’s “Erwin” and Boy Jalandoni and Elwin Javelosa’s “BJ Sagay” scored five points each to emerge co-champions in the recent National Cockers Alliance (NCA) Stag Big Event at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

Five entries emerged as runners-up with Patrick Antonio, champion in the Sept. 8 NCA derby, and Rey Briones’ “RBP” scoring four points along with Tommy Chua and Osang dela Cruz’s “Gold Quest” and Johnny Jalandoni’s “Superfly.”

Like in the first NCA Stag derby, top cocker Gerry Ramos’ “Against All Odds” and Ricky Magtoto’s “Nov. 13 Stag sa Pasay Cockpit” also posted four points apiece.

Meanwhile, the next NCA Stag Big Event is set Sept. 22, also at the Ynares Sports Arena.

Expected to head the cast are Gov. Ito Ynares, Antonio, Manny and Arman Santos, Ka Luding, Ruel Ricafort, chairman Rudy Albano and Jimmy Ang, Chua and Dela Cruz, Vice Mayor Nestor Mercado and Lito Orillaza, Mayor Ellan Nagaño and Pete Hizon.
