MANILA, Philippines – The management of Valley Golf Club in Antipolo has committed to spend in some P20 million to upgrade and improve its facilities, with the bulk of the amount to fall on the renovation of its main clubhouse.
Construction actually started even during the term of past president Peng Estanislao even as the clubhouse will be ready for partial use starting with the Don Celso Tuason and Valley Founders member-guest tournament starting today.
Valuable giveaways, sumptuous food and the raffle for a brand-new car highlight the event.
The total fencing of Valley Golf’s periphery has also been concluded, with the asphalting of the access road to the driving range and cementing of the main parking lot the next to be tackled.
The installation of herring-bone drainage system in the Executive course is fervently implemented and will be completed before the start of the rainy season in June this year. This will make the executive course an all weather course just like Valley’s championship rated South Course.
Cementing of the DCT Avenue from the Sumulong Highway gate to Valley’s Main Entrance has been approved by the Board. Actual work has started and this project will cost over P11 million.
The current members of Valley’s Board who are spearheading the various projects are Boni Sumbilla, president; Bernie Cruz, vice-president, Ferlu Sudario and Bobby Roxas, treasurer and asst. treasurer, respectively. Luis Gonzales, Teodoro Papa, Roy Regalado, Boy San Pedro and Mel Verano are the other directors.
