UE Pages start buildup for UAAP
MANILA, Philippines - Coach Mark Herrera is embarking on a massive buildup as he prepares for his University of the East Pages’ stint in the UAAP junior basketball competitions in July.
“I’m confident that the boys will be fully prepared for this tournament,” said Herrera, two-time champion of the Jr. PBA Talk ‘n Text Team and assistant coach of the PBL Burger King Stunners.
“Even though we are one of the underdogs in this year’s UAAP Jrs, we have a lot of promising young players in this team,” said Herrera, also head coach of the RP Youth Under-13. “I am thankful for the support of the school and (acting PE director) Rolando Perez.”
Tryouts for the team are held 1-4 p.m., M.W.F at the UERMMC, Sta. Mesa Manila. Players may call up Herrera at (02) 557-2157,
