From a crop of talented young hopefuls, another budding athlete gets the spotlight as Pinoy Sports Idol at the culmination of the weekly sports reality television shows seventh season this Saturday on NBN 4.
A total of 12 athletes, who were all top performers in their respective sports disciplines, have been featured in 12 episodes of the program, which airs from 1-1:30 p.m. The ultimate sports idol shall be picked from the top three finalists.
Full college scholarship certificates in any university of their choice will be awarded to the finalists, with the Pinoy Sports Idol titlist getting an all-expense-paid participation in a prestigious international competition. The prizes are courtesy of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (Pagcor).
The ultimate winner shall be decided after tabulating the numbers received by the top three finalists from the televiewers’ text votes and judges’ score sheets.
Pinoy Sports Idols is produced by Timeline Digital Productions and is hosted by taekwondo champion and celebrity endorser John Paul “Japoy” Lizardo.
