Cruz went on to bag the MVP plum among the 16-year-old players while Cruz earned the Primovit’s Rising Star award.
Letran beat UST in the semis while Adamson stopped San Beda-Alabang to arrange the title showdown.
T-Jay Mendoza and Irvin Mendoza, both of Adamson, bagged the MVP titles in the 14- and 15-year-old divisions, respectively.
Meanwhile, Angel Morales scored 25 points as San Beda-Alabang pulled off a pulsating 77-73 upset victory over defending champion Adamson in the junior girls’ division.
Morales led the Mythical selection that included teammate Irene Jardiniano, De la Salle-Zobel’s Sara Bo-ot, and a pair of Adamson players in April Penaranda, who had 23 points, and Jinky Balasta.
Cassandra Santos, also from San Beda, won the Rising Star award.
Don Bosco Technical Institute trounced De La Salle-Zobel, 51-41, to claim the midgets championship while Xavier routed Don Bosco Tech, 59-39, to pocket the mini-group crown.
