Richie Santos, a former jet-ski international champion and multi-titled Philippine Sports Association (PSA) awardee, and Raul Jorge shot a combined 12-under-par net 60 to win overall title in the 2008 edition of the Chairman’s Cup of the Sherwood Hills Golf Club played in Trece Martires, Cavite.
Santos and Jorge banked on their three pars and 10 bogeys that offset five bogeys at the Sherwood Hills’ Jack Nicklaus-signature course which was voted as the No. 85 best golf course outside of the United States and No. 1 in Southeast Asia by world renowned magazine Golf Digest.
Koreans Luis Oh and Han Juong-Sug joined the winner podium as the overall gross champions. The Allan Yap-Willy Teeten tandem copped the Division I crown followed by runners-up partners Kim Nang-Kew-Lee Han-Woo and Pong and Lia Manuel.
Rudy Cadiz and Lito Balagso topped Division II. Butch Arguelles and Finina Gorres were second placers while Dr. Ricky de Castro and Nini Samaniego were third.
