The 36-hole tournament serves as part of the celebration of the inaugural staging of POC Olympic Festival, the POCs own version of the national games, held in conjunction with the worldwide celebration of the Olympic movement.
According to the organizing NGAP, there will be five classifications based on handicap converted from submitted indices. If a participants submit only one handicap, two strokes will be deducted and the net handicap will be used for classification.
Events on tap are Class A (0-9), Class B (10-18) and Class C (19 and above) for men while those with indices of 0-10 will clash it for top honors in the womens division. A senior division, for players 55 years old and above, will also be played.
Registration is ongoing on a first-come, first-served basis with the first 100 participants, or 25 players for each classification, to be given slots. Fee is pegged at P1,000.
