Some of the Alaska cagers are expected to grace the event and treat the fans in some kind of a workshop on Wednesday in the fifth week of the sports tour launched by the PBA last month as part of its continuing effort to bring the league closer to the people and give the PBA fans something to look forward to this summer season.
Aside from the galleries and a souvenir booth, the activity centers feature displays such as the inflatable basketball hoop, PBA snap shots, Molten basketball museum and a half-court area.
These centers are actually set up on two designated SM malls each week till May 9 to be spiced up by a rotation of visits by the PBA cagers and teams.
The San Miguel Beer players, meanwhile, are expected to treat the fans to a two-day workshop at SM Baguio beginning today.
The organizing PBA Properties, Inc. said the fans response has been tremendous since it was launched at the SM Megamall last March. It has so far toured the SM malls in Bicutan, Fairview, North EDSA and in Marilao, Bulacan. After Sucat, the tour will go to SM Manila April 17-23, SM Southmall April 20-25, SM-Sta. Mesa April 24-29 and SM-Pampanga April 27-May 4.
The summer bash, presented by JVC and Globe Telecom and sponsored by Tobys Sports, Purefoods, Accel, Air 21, Molten and Mail & More, winds up at SM Bacoor May 2-9.
