The marathon, held through the PNU physical education department, is open to able-bodied and physically fit high school and college students. It will be conducted by the Philippine International Competitive Aerobics Federation (PICAF) led by its secretary-general Ley Fernandez. She will be assisted by national team coaches and athletes.
An exhibition of competitive aerobics by Philippine team members will kick off the event. Competition in this three-stage endurance sweat-out will be conducted in three categoriesmale, female and trio.

Through the sports aerobics marathon, event sponsor Globe Gentxt aims to prepare the Filipino youth to be law-abiding and active participants in nation-building.
