Reeling from a 65-75 loss to Blustar Detergents last Sunday in Pasay City, the Jewellers hope to bounce back as they shoot for a third win in four outings against the Tigers at 3:45 p.m. and catch the Paint Masters (3-1)at the helm. And Montaña mentor Bong Go is raring to make up for that loss.
"We didnt play our usual game against Blu Star but we hope to bounce back with a win against Sunkist," said Go.
Gary David, the Unity Cup MVP, is expected to carry the scoring load anew for Montaña although he will pit skills against a spirited team spearheaded by Alex Compton.
Compton, however, must step up for the Tigers and improve on a paltry two-point output in their 66-77 defeat at the hands of the Viva Mineral Water Force last Tuesday in Pasig City.
The victory was the Water Forces first following a pair of heartbreakers at the hands of Montaña and Welcoat. They go up against the ICTSI-La Salle at 1:45 p.m.
The Archers are also riding the momentum of a 68-66 overtime decision over 2003 first conference titlist Fash Liquid Power last Saturday that snapped a two-game skid.
