NPC golfest slated Oct 28 at Villamor

The National Press Cub will hold its third Invitational Golf Tournament on Oct. 28 at the Villamor Golf Course in Pasay City.

The format for the 18-hole tournament will be two-man best ball competition, with the best score for each hole counting in the team aggregate.

NPC President Antonio Antonio said that golfing members of media, government, private and corporate friends of the NPC have been invited to participate. It aims to engender goodwill and camaraderie among golfing newsmen and friends from both public and private sectors, as well as to raise funds for the NPC’s projects and activities.

Initially invited to hit the ceremonial tee shot are former President Fidel V. Ramos, Senator Tito Sotto, Landbank President Gary Teves and Lt. Gen. Nestor Santillan, Air Force Commanding General.

Competition will be in Classes A, B, and C for both media and guest divisions, based on their aggregate handicaps.

Tournament fee is P3,000 per team. Trophies for the winners and raffles prizes will be awarded during dinner at the Villamor Clubhouse.
