A huge field of 128 teams, forming a heavy roster of 256 players, will see action in the tournament where the Stableford system of scoring will be applied.
Senior members and sportsmen belonging to the Canlubang Golf and Country Club as well as former and current government officials and those from the diplomatic corps have signed up for the silver anniversary staging of the tournament.
Cangolf president Arsenio Yulo, former chair of the Public Estate Authority and administrator of the Sugar Regulatory body and PEA, will team up with former justice secretary Silvestro Bello, a member of the peace panel, while Jose Yulo Jr. will be paired with Cecil Hechanova, former chair of the Philippine Sports Commission.
Other special participants and guests are Japanese Ambassador Kojiro Takano, Teuhisa Miki, president of Miki Paper Mills, Teruo Jinno, chair of the Japanese Certified Accountant Association and Kenoichi Matsuda, president of Ogura Trading.
