TaylorMade Adidas Golf Cup slated Dec. 13
October 17, 2002 | 12:00am
TaylorMade adidas Golf (TMaG), the No. 1 golf performance brand in the market today, is holding the first annual TaylorMade Adidas Golf Cup Dec. 13 at the Riviera Golf and Country Club in Cavite.
"This tournament is TaylorMades way of saying thank you for the support and patronage of our products, enabling us to become one of the strongest brands in the industry today," TMaG business unit manager Ernest Paguia said.
The tournament also forms part of celebrations for the launching of TaylorMades newest line of clubs, the R500 series. Launched during the recent Golf Devt Association of the Phils. International Golf Show at the SM Mega Trade Hall, the R500 series is set to blaze a trail in the game again, following the steps of the successful R300 series.
To be participated in by loyal TaylorMade patrons and golf enthusiasts, the tournament would be a veritable gathering of golf aficionados in the country. Gerald Rosales, now ranked 48th in the Asian PGA Tour, will lead the participants in the 18-hole tournament, together with showbiz personalities and leaders in the business community. The tournament is a precursor of similar tournaments to be held by other TaylorMade subsidiaries in other countries in Southeast Asia starting 2003.
Proceeds from the tournament will be used as "seed fund" for the development of golf at the grassroots level.
Interested participants may call April Gemora at 6385888 local 303 for more details.
