MBA introduces virtual advertising

The MBA’s Northern Conference Finals between the LBC Batangas Blades and defending champion Andok’s San Juan Knights today will be more exciting for yet another reason. The game will see the technological breakthrough in broadcasting called virtual advertising.

Virtual advertising, which has been used primarily for sports broadcasting throughout the world, allows any image, be it a logo or video, to be placed within any live or even produced event. Images can even be animated two-or three-dimensional figures. The technology has been brought in through a partnership between Ad Virtual Co. of Korea and VIP Inc., a member of the LBC group of companies.
