Yakult 10-miler slated

The Yakult 10 Miler, one of the longest road running events in the country now on its 12th year, fires off Nov. 5 with over 2,000 entries expected to participate, according to Yakult Phils., Inc. executive vice president Haruki Anzai after a contract signing with marathon organizer Rudy Biscocho.

Yakult Phils. PR manager Jun Solomon bared that a special Yakult trophy will be at stake for the biggest delegation, thus running clubs all over Metro Manila and nearby provinces are expected to submit big number of entries for the event.

Solomon also expects a lot of student entries in the fun run side events, including the 3K run for kids 6 to 12 years old and the open division 5K run.

Registration is ongoing at the Greenhills Theater lobby at the Greenhills Shopping complex. Registration fee is P50 for all events.

Prizes at stake for the Yakult 10 Miler for men and women are cash developmental awards worth P7,000, P3,000, and P2,000, respectively, plus trophies for the top three overall finishers. Additional cash prizes of P1,000 and P500 will be given to the 4th and 5th placers of both men’s and women’s divisions.
