CEBU, Philippines — Former University of Cebu (UC) Webmasters All-Star Luigi Kondrad Gabisan is now a licensed Criminologist.

The 25-year-old Gabisan is among the 11,121 out of 22,539 examinees who passed the Licensure Examination for Criminologists given by the Board of Criminology last July 2024 in 22 testing centers all over the Philippines, according to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

“Before taking this licensure examination, I had already doubted myself. I knew that I’m not well prepared for this since I’m so focused in playing “panalay” to sustain the needs of me and my family,” Gabisan wrote on his Facebook.

“Until days before exam, I got so sick and was deprived of sleep for two days,” the 6-foot-2 small forward from Barangay Inayawan, Cebu City added. “But by the grace of God, he amazed me, healed me and encourage me take the examination.”

“I have still succeeded despite all of my lapses. All my worries and doubts, I surrendered it all to God. I always glorify him in every success because I am nothing without him. Thank you so much God, be with me as I fight for my dreams in life.”

A three-time All-Star, Gabisan played a vital role when the UC Webmasters of coach Kenneth Kernn Sesante advanced to the Finals of Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI) Season 22 in his last playing year in 2022.

Gabisan thanked all those who, in one way or another, have helped him reach the success he attained right now.

“To UC basketball and coaches especially coach Atty. Kernn Sesante and Calib Gawangon and Atty. (Merong) Estenzo, thank you so much for being my stepping stone and being a father during my varsity days. Your non-stop guidance molded me to be a better me. To coach Kernn, who is the best example to all student athletes, thank you so much coach for inspiring me. I set you as my example,” a grateful Gabisan said.

“To my parents and siblings, thank you so much for believing in me. Thank you for all the love and support, thank you for your advices and guidance. I am so blessed with God’s grace.” — (FREEMAN)
