Dumaguete City Food Fair on July 29

DUMAGUETE CITY, Philippines — Root crops, vegetables and other products from 30 barangays in the city will be displayed tomorrow at the Quezon Park here for the Food Fair 2013.

The city government, through the City Nutrition Council and the City Agriculture Office, is staging Food Fair 2013 as part of the observance of the Nutrition Month, which has this year's theme, Gutom at Malnutrisyon, Sama-sama Nating Wakasan.

City Nutrition Officer Lourdes Taburasa said the fair will be opened in the morning by Mayor Manuel Sagarbarria and City Administrator William Ablong.

Contests on various nutrition activities among schools, day care centers, households and barangays will also be conducted. The event will then be closed by Vice Mayor Woodrow Maquiling Sr., added Taburaza. (FREEMAN)
