TAGBILARAN CITY ,Philippines - Combined police authorities seized the other day, one in Inabanga town and the other in Ubay town, hordes of unlicensed firearms and arrested the suspects.
Policemen of Camp Dagohoy and Inabanga town, carrying a search warrant, stormed a house in Ubay, and found several unlicensed firearms and ammunitions.
The arrested suspected gun owners were identified as Rodolfo Zaragosa, Alexander Sabiono and Aparicio Bautista, all of Buenavista town.
Seized from them were two .38 caliber revolvers, a .357 caliber magnum, a hand grenade, a 9mm pistol, a .45 caliber handgun, a .22 caliber revolver and several live ammunitions.
In Ubay town, the police arrested Genaro Ibale, 82, for alleged possession of a horde of unlicensed firearms after he disembarked from a vessel that arrived here from Cebu.
Reports reaching The FREEMAN said that Ibale, used to be a gun makder from Danao City in Cebu province, was "shopping" for guns in Cebu purportedly to be sold in Bohol.
Seized from Ibale were two .357 caliber handguns, two .45 caliber pistols, a .38 caliber gun and a .22 caliber snub-nose revolver, and some gun-making items that were put inside a sack.
