7 illegal fishing boats nabbed in Iloilo town

ILOILO CITY, Philippines  – The Iloilo Provincial Bantay Dagat Task Force has apprehended seven illegal fishing boats on Wednesday, April 27, in Concepcion town of Iloilo province.

Task Force leader SPO1 Gilbert Piedad, in a report to Governor Arthur Defensor, identified the seven boats as: MBCAs Kyryl, Shivy, and Toto Jun, all of Victorias City in Negros Occidental; MBCAs Patrick, Rocky Boy, Ocean Flower and Janross, all of Brgy. Bagongon in Concepcion, Iloilo.

The fishing boats were caught engaging in trawl fishing within the vicinity of the marine waters of Concepcion, and the task force impounded these and arrested all of their crew. –(FREEMAN)
