ORMOC CITY, Philippines — Senior Supt. Nilo Donayre of the Ormoc City Police Office has issued a warning against using marbles as bullets for toy guns and slingshots, as these are dangerous and could be fatal.
Donayre made this announcement after getting reports from parents in barangays, such as in sitio Culisao of Brgy. Sto. Niño where children have been using marbles for their toy guns and slingshots.
Under the law, people are prohibited from carrying lethal weapons including chemicals and devices made into bullets, in this case the marbles. Penalty is imprisonment from 10 to 15 years.
As such, those caught with guns using marbles as bullets will be charged with illegal possession of deadly weapons. (FREEMAN)
