ORMOC CITY, Philippines — The City Council recently approved an ordinance appropriating P21.265 million under the collective bargaining agreement covering incentive of P20,000 for each city government employee, regular or casual, appointed and elective.
The amount, which however would be pro-rated for employees who've served less than one full year by 2010, is expected to be released by next week.
Councilor Roland Villasencio said the incentive would be subject to a 20-percent withholding tax.
He added that he and another neophyte, Councilor Mario Rodriguez will only receive half of the amount because they only became councilor on July 1 last year. The other half would be given to former councilors Fe Lladoc and Mariano Corro, he said.
