MANILA, Philippines — Reytech Construction was tapped to build the University Pad (UPad) Residences in De La Salle University (DLSU) Laguna, marking the company’s entry into mid-rise residential development.

With a 100 percent completion rate of more than 250 industrial, commercial and residential projects situated all over the country, Reytech will build on its strengths in value engineering, structural efficiency and modern residential systems to complete the project in 18 months, or in October 2027.

Located in Biñan, the four-story condormitel has a total floor area of 6,000 square meters and will house over 415 beds in solo, two-bedroom sharing, four-bedroom sharing and PWD room accommodations.

This milestone marks Reytech’s entry into condormitel development, a safe and comfortable home-away-from-home for students to live, study and unwind with modern amenities including student lounges, kitchenettes, provisions for laundry, internet access and wheelchair-accessible elevators.

Reytech Construction commercial director Jay Pantangco said the project “signifies client’s trust in the company as a dependable partner in delivering efficient, functional and high-quality spaces that meet the needs of the people they were designed for. It also adds to Reytech’s rich and diverse portfolio and positions itself as a key player in student housing and urban living developments.”

“The project demonstrates Reytech’s expertise in constructing efficient, compact living spaces that maximize occupancy while maintaining comfort and functionality.”

“After more than three decades, Reytech continues to strengthen its presence in the industry and build on its capabilities, offering new insights and innovations like PEBs (pre-engineered building),” added Pantangco. “With our ISO certifications on quality, workplace health and safety, and environmental responsibility, we remain committed to bringing global standards to the Philippines’ construction industry.”

UPad Residences has branches in Taft, Manila and at the University Belt in Sampaloc, Manila. There is also the UPad Hotel in Malate, Manila.

Since 1994, Reytech Construction has grown from a general service contractor established by Hector Reyes and his colleagues from the Middle East to a full-scale construction and development company run by seasoned engineers and over 150 employees and contractual workers. Recent noteworthy projects include the PAREF Southridge Sports Complex; Landers Superstores in Aseana, Parañaque; Vermosa; Naga City, Camarines Sur; Imus, Cavite; Sta. Rosa, Laguna; and Angeles City, Pampanga; Minola Refining Plant in Bauan, Batangas; and Agri Pacific (Rebisco) Plant in Tanza, Cavite.
