Bagong BARMM ministers tiniyak ang suporta ng gobyerno

MANILA, Philippines — Opisyal nang nanumpa sa  kanilang tungkulin ang mga bagong talagang miyembro ng Bangsamoro Parliament sa harap ni Presidente Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr., na binigyang-diin ang kanilang papel sa patuloy na pag-unlad ng rehiyon.

Ang oath-taking ceremony ay isinagawa sa Heroes Hall sa Malacañan Palace noong Lunes ng gabi, kung saan ang 35 bagong appointees ay sinamahan ng iba pang  government secretaries, ni Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) Speaker Pangalian Balindong, at ni bagong Interim Chief Minister Abdularaof Macacua.

"We also celebrate the partnership between the national and Bangsamoro governments, a partnership that will help turn our dream of lasting peace into a reality," pahayag ni Balindong sa kanyang talumpati. 

Pinasalamatan naman ni Macacua si dating Interim Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim para sa kanyang papel sa pamumuno sa  BARMM sa nakalipas na anim na taon,  at sinabing ipagpapatuloy ng bagong set ng ministers ang kanyang nasimulan.

Nagpahayag din ng pasasalamat ang bagong  interim chief kay Pangulong Marcos para sa patuloy na kooperasyon ng kanyang administrasyon sa pag-unlad ng BARMM, sinabing ang kanilang mga naging  sakripisyo ay hindi mawawalan ng saysay.  

"I thank the president for recognizing the long and arduous struggle of the Bangsamoro, especially the sacrifices of my fellow Mujahideen who fought for our right to self-determination. That recognition means a lot to us — it honors our past and strengthens our hope for a peaceful future," ani Macacua.

"Your continued support for the Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro and your firm commitment to implementing the Bangsamoro Organic Law show that the national government stands with us," dagdag pa ng bagong interim chief.

Sa hiwalay na pahayag, pinasalamatan din ni Macacua sina Special Assistant to the President Anton Lagdameo, Jr. at Secretary Carlito Galvez ng  Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity para sa kanilang mga pagsisikap na mapanatili ang kapayapaan at bukas na komunikasyon sa pagitan ng national at  Bangsamoro governments.

Ipinrisinta ni Lagdameo kay Marcos ang mga bagong appointees.

"I welcome all the newly appointed members of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority Parliament who have taken their oaths today. To my fellow government workers in the Bangsamoro, you have pledged to uphold the trust of your constituents," sabi ni Marcos.

"You will carry the aspirations of those who have longed for peace and self-governance. You will be instrumental in creating a future built by and for the Bangsamoro," dagdag ng Pangulo.

Si Macacua ay itinalagang bagong interim chief ng rehiyon, kasama ang iba pang appointees at magsisilbi hanggang makaupo  ang mga bagong miyembro na mahahalal sa kauna-unahang parliamentary elections sa October 2025.
