MANILA, Philippines - Nakubkob ng tropa ng militar ang malaking kampo ng mga rebeldeng New People’s Army na ikinasugat ng dalawang sundalo sa 30-minutong bakbakan sa Toril District, Davao City noong Biyernes.
Ayon kay Captain Emmanuel Garcia, spokesman ng Army’s 10th Infantry Division, bandang alas-9:50 ng umaga nang makasagupa ng tropa ng 84th Infantry Battalion ang mga rebelde ng Front Committee 54 sa Brgy. Sibulan.
Nasugatan sina Private John Mark Colango at Pvt. Alexander Alborta. “They are on the run and our troops are currently on pursuit. They have suffered casualties in the exchange of fire but were carried by their comrades away as they fled,” paha yag naman ni Col. Kurt Decapia, commander ng 84th IB.
