Hepe ng Customs police, sinibak

SUBIC BAY FREEPORT — Sinibak na sa puwesto si Capt. Ramon Policarpio bilang hepe ng Enforcement and Security Service-Customs Police District ng Bureau of Customs (BoC) at 22 pa nitong tauhan na pinaniniwalaang nabigo ang mga ito na pigilin ang may 17 mamahaling sasakyan na naipuslit palabas ng Freeport noong nakarang buwan.

Hindi napigilang mapaluha ni Policarpio matapos magbigay ng maikling mensahe bago mamaalam sa kanyang mga tauhan kung saan dinaluhan ang simpleng seremonya ng mga opisyales ng BoC at Task Force Anti-Smuggling (TFAS) sa pangunguna ni Port of Subic Collector Atty. Marietta "Tita" Zamoranos.

Ipinalit si Capt. Mariano Biteng, Customs police district commander na nakabase sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) habang si Policarpio naman ay pupuwesto bilang deputy district director ng Customs police sa Port of Cebu.

Nakahanda na ring sibakin sa susunod na mga araw ang buong puwersa ng Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service (CIIS) base sa nakalap na CPO order ni Customs Commissioner Napoleon Morales dahil na rin sa palpak na intelligence gathering ng mga ito kung saan malayang naipuslit ang 17- imported smuggled luxury vehicles na nagkakahalaga ng P50-milyon noong Pebrero 2007.
