Ex-Cavite gov. Maliksi kakasuhan ng graft

MANILA, Philippines - Matapos makakita ng probable cause hinggil sa paglabag sa  Section 3(e) ng Republic Act No. 3019 (Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act) dahilan sa irre­gular procurement ng mga gamot na may halagang P2.5 milyon ay pinakakasuhan ng graft ni Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales  si dating Cavite Governor Erineo “Ayong” Maliksi.

Batay sa record, noong February 2003, ang lalawigan ng Cavite ay pumasok sa isang Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) sa Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) para bumili ng gamot sa ilalim ng P10 million grant.

Subalit, lumalabas na walang naganap na public bidding  na naisagawa dito bukod sa ang Purchase Request, Purchase Order at Inspection and Acceptance Report) ay naisagawa tatlong buwan bago maipalabas ang naturang pondo.

 Binigyang diin ni Morales na dahil sa walang naganap na  bidding sa proyekto at hindi rin napatunayan na ang nakuhang mga gamot ay ang pinakamura  sa merkado.
