Mojdeh, Cabana nagpasiklab sa Batang Pinoy
MANILA, Philippines — Maningning na umuwi ang Behrouz Elite Swimming Team (BEST) tangan ang 11 medalya sa katatapos ng 2024 Batang Pinoy swimming competitions sa Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.
Bumandera sa matikas na ratsada BEST si Yugo Cabana na kumana ng isang ginto, tatlong pilak at isang tansong medalya sa boys’ 14-15 division.
Pinagharian ng pambato ng Paranaque City na si Cabana ang 100m butterfly kung saan nagtala ito ng 59.66 segundo para pataubin sina silver medalist Kevin Chan ng Mandaluyong (1:00.98) at bronze medalist Jet Berueda ng Pampanga (1:01.34).

Humirit pa si Cabana ng pilak sa 200m butterfly, 50m butterfly at 100m freestyle habang nakatanso ito sa 200m Individual Medley events.
Pinakamaningning naman si Behrouz Mohammad Madi Mojdeh na may pinakamaraming medalyang naiuwi tampok ang apat na pilak at dalawang tansong medalya sa boys’ 12-13 class.
Nakahirit ng pilak si Mojdeh sa 200m breaststroke, 200m butterfly, 200m backstroke at bahagi ito ng silver medal team sa 4x100m medley relay. May tanso naman ito sa 200m Individual Medley at 100m breaststroke.
Nagawa ito ni Mojdeh sa kabila ng iniinda nitong ankle injury.
“Despite missing some training days due to a sprained ankle, you displayed heart and determination. Though your preparation time was limited, your eagerness to pursue your goals is truly commendable. We’re so proud of you, Kuya! Keep up the great work,” ani BEST team manager Joan Mojdeh.
“This year’s Batang Pinoy competition was fierce, with many talented young swimmers emerging. It’s inspiring to witness the next generation of aquatic stars pushing the limits of the sport in our country,” dagdag nito.
