Banares top pick ng Quezon City Dragons sa SBA Player’s Draft

MANILA, Philippines — Nanguna sa draft pick si Pinoy cue artist Jericho Banares sa inaugural Sharks Billiard Association (SBA) Player’s Draft sa Quantum Skyview ng Gateway Mall 2, Araneta City sa Cubao, Quezon City noong Linggo.

Lubos ang saya ni Banares nang mapili siyang top pick ng Quezon City Dragons.

“I felt very honoured to be included in the team.” sabi ni Banares na runner-up sa 2008 Reno, Nevada World Junior Pool Championship.

Napiling second pick si Rodrigo Geronimo ng Taguig Stallions, pangatlo si Oliver Villafuerte na napunta sa Negros Pillar, habang si Baseth Mapandi na fourth pick ay kasama sa Manila MSW Mavericks sa four-team field.

Idaraos ang first conference sa Setyembre 12 sa Sharks Billiard Hall sa Tomas Morato, Quezon City.

Makakasama ni Banares sa Quezon City Dragons sina Alexis Ferrer, Denmark Castronuevo, John Paul Ladao at John Rebong at tampok sa Taguig Stallions sina Demosthenes Pulpul, Bryant Saguiped, Marc Ejay Cunanan at Michael Quinay.

Makakatuwang ni Oliver Villafuerte sa Negros Pillar sina Albert Espinola, Jonald Galve, Jolo Aspuria at Mark Ryan Hidalgo, habang kasama sa paparada sa Manila MSW Mavericks sina Jonas Magpantay, John Albert Refulle, Drahcir Mauricio at Tristan Deocareza.
