Jerusalem itataya ang WBO crown

MANILA, Philippines — Gagawin ni Pinoy world champion Melvin Jerusalem ang lahat para maidepensa ang suot na World Boxing Organization (WBO) minimumweight crown laban kay Puerto Rican challenger Oscar Collazo.

Itataya ng 29-anyos na si Jerusalem ang kanyang WBO belt kontra sa 26-anyos na si Collazo ngayon sa Fantasy Springs Resort Casino sa Indio, California.

“100 percent ready na tayo sa fight,” deklarasyon ng tubong Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon.

Nakamit ng Pinoy fighter ang nasabing titulo matapos talunin si Japanese Masataka Taniguchi via second-round technical knockout sa Osaka noong Enero.

Nag-ensayo si Jerusalem sa Wild Card Gym sa Los Angeles kasama sina trainer Michael Domingo at stablemate Kevin Jake Cataraja.

Ibinabandera ni Jerusalem ang kanyang 20-2-0 win-loss draw ring record tampok ang 12 knockouts  habang bitbit ni Collazo ang 6-0-0 (4 KOs).

“I’m feeling very good, I’m feeling very confident, I earned this and you’ll gonna see this on Saturday night,” wika ng U.S based Puerto Rican.

Hangad ni Collazo na maging unang boksingero sa kasaysayan na naging world champion bagama’t kakaunti ang naging professional fights.
