MANILA, Philippines — Sa PBA Press Corps Special Awards Night noong Marso 7 ay binigyan ni Barangay Ginebra head coach Tim Cone ng tribute si Living Legend’ Robert Jaworski, Sr.
Noong Biyernes ay naglabas ng official statement ang pamilya Jaworski kung saan humihingi sila ng panalangin para sa mabilis na paggaling ng basketball icon.
“Our prayers lifted for the BIG J. May he be infused with the Ginebra NSD (never-say-die) spirit!,” post ng 62-anyos na si Cone kay ‘Jawo’ sa kanyang Twitter account na ginamit din ng mga PBA players, officials at fans para magbigay ng suporta.
“Last year, he was hospitalized due to a bout with pneumonia. He, however, tested negative for COVID-19. Due to a non-life threatening blood abnormality that was discovered by his doctors in 2016, former senator Jaworski has experienced difficulty in regaining strength, weight and normal well-being,” sabi pa ng pamilya Jaworski sa statement. “Despite this, his is making good progress and is slowly moving forward.”
Ang hashtag na #DasalParaKayJawo ang makikita ngayon sa Twitter para kay Jaworski, ipinagdiwang ang kanyang ika-75 kaarawan noong Marso 8.
“I am 42 yo and the very reason why i love PBA is bc of the BIG J. Get well soon mr. senator. And let us also pray for the PBA. SMC and MVP syndicates are killing the interests of pinoy fans...lokohan na ngayon eh,” sabi ni Ginebra fan Anti-Drug Czar sa kanyang tweet.
“One Ginebra Nation...hiling po kami ng panalangin para sa atin idolong si Living Legend/Big J ROBERT JAWORSKI sa kanyang mabilisang paggaling,” tweet naman ni SUPERGINEBRA.
