Libreng wifi sa polo venue

MANILA, Philippines — Magiging hi-tech ang Philippine National Federation of Polo Players (PNFPP) para parisan ang kanilang world-class venue na gagamitin sa darating na 30th Southeast Asian Games sa susunod na buwan.

Mapapakinabangan ng mga participants, officials at special guests, kasama ang mga royalties at top government officials ng Brunei, Malaysia at Indonesia ang free WiFi sa kasagsagan ng polo competition na idaraos sa Miguel Romero Field sa Calatagan, Batangas.

“World-class venue like ours needs excellent communication and we’re happy PLDT-Smart is helping us,” wika ni House Deputy Speaker at PNFPP founding director Mikee Romero (1 Pacman Partylist). “PLDT-Smart will provide the Miguel Romero field with high speed connectivity and I am certain everything will go on smoothly.”

Mapapanood nang LIVE ang mga laban via streaming mula sa pagtutulu-ngan ng PNFPP, PLDT at Smart WiFi.

Ang ilang laro ay gagawin naman sa Iñigo Zobel Field sa Calatagan.

“For some polo players and officials, it’s going to be business as usual for them. They don’t have to worry about their businesses back home because they can communicate through the help of PLDT,” dagdag pa ni Romero.

Pinirmahan ang kasunduan para sa paglalagay ng free WiFi sa Miguel Romero Field sa pamumuno ni Romero at mga top PLDT-Smart officials na pinangunahan nina Chief Revenue Officer at Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas President Al Panlilio at Jovy Hernandez, ang ePLDT president at senior vice president ng PLDT.

Sumaksi sa lagdaan ng kasunduan sina AirAsia executive Erick Arejola at competition manager Camila Lastrilla.

Nakatakda ang polo competition ng 2019 SEA Games sa Nobyembre 24 tampok ang pagdating ng higit sa 200 prized horses.

Samantala, magtutungo si Romero at iba pang miyembro ng national polo team na sina Gus Aguirre, Tommy Bitong, Jay de Jesus, Jam Eusebio, Anthony Filamor, Coco Garcia, Santi Juban, Ed Lopez, Marty Romualdez, Tonio Veloso at Noel Vecimal sa Argentina, Australia at United States sa susunod na linggo para sa isang intensive training sa ilalim ng mga Argentine at American players.

Ang mga magsasanay sa Buenos Aires ay sina De Jesus, Eusebio, Garcia, Lopez, Veloso at Romero kasama sina 5-goaler at isa sa Asia’s best na si Anthony Garcia bilang coach at team manager Lope Juban.

Sinuportahan din ni Romero ang Philippine men’s basketball team na naghari sa ASEAN tournament sa Jakarta, Indonesia at sa Ratchasima SEA Games noong 2007.

Ayon naman kay Lastrilla, inaasa-hang matatapos sa tamang oras ang polo fields para sa 2019 SEA Games.

“The pavilion is going through some finishing touches,” sabi ni Lastrilla.
