Perkins kinuha ng Racal/Keramix

MANILA, Philippines – Kagaya ng kanilang naunang pahayag, kinuha ng Racal/lKeramix si dating La Salle center Jayson Perkins bilang first round pick sa 2015 PBA D-League Rookie Draft kahapon.

Nauna nang sinabi ni Mixers’ coach Caloy Garcia na kailangan nila ang isang big man na kagaya ng 6-foot-4 na si Perkins, natulungan ang Green Archers sa paghahari sa UAAP noong 2010.

“We need stability at the post. His presence practically solved our concern,” sabi ni Garcia. “We also need not worry about our game plan being disrupted because we have enough bigs in the team.”

Bukod kay Perkins, muli ring aasa si Garcia kina Mike Parala at Dexter Maiquez para sa kanilang frontline.

Matapos piliin si Perkins ay kinuha naman ng Racal/Keramix si Jordan Rios sa second round.

Samantala, kinuha ng AMA Computer Online Education si Fil-Am guard Julian Sargent, kakampi ni Perkins sa Green Archers, bilang kanilang first round pick.

Hinugot ng Tanduay Light si Ateneo guard Von Rolfe Pessumal bilang No. 3 pick, habang kinuha ng Foundation Cup champion Café France si Jason Statham na nasa protected list ng Bakers.

Ang iba pang first round picks ay sina Fil-Am Avery Scherer (Wangs Basketball), NBA D-League veteran Mike Williams (Mindanao Aguilas), Amar Agustin (UP/Jam Liner) at Richard Escoto (Phoenix Petrolium).

Pinili lamang ng Phoenix Petrolium ang kanilang dalawang protected players, habang hindi sumali sa draft ang National University-BDO.

Ipaparada ng Phoenix ang Far Eastern University Tamaraws sa liga na magsisimula sa Enero 26, 2016.

Kabuuang 53 players mula sa record na 216 aspirants ang tanging napili sa draft na umabot hanggang 10th round.
