Viloria no-show sa kanilang media workout ni Marquez

MANILA, Philippines - Hindi nagpakita si Filipino world flyweight champion Brian ‘The Hawaiian Punch’ Viloria sa kanilang public training/media day ni Mexican flyweight titlist Hernan ‘Tyson’ Marquez kahapon sa Azteca Gym.

Idinahilan ng 31-anyos na si Viloria ang pagpunta niya sa California Athletic Commission kaugnay sa kanyang medical exams.

Dahil dito, sinolo ng 24-anyos na si Marquez ang pagkakataon para ipakita ang kanyang porma at kondisyon bilang paghahanda sa kanilang unification fight ni Viloria sa Linggo (Manila time) sa LA Sports Arena sa Los Angeles, California.

“After so many weeks concentrated on work, it shows, the good thing is that I’m very motivated and regarding weight, I’m off by 3 pounds right now, I’m drinking plenty of water and eating well, that has me extremely motivated and I can’t wait to do the weigh-in and the face Viloria,” ani Marquez.

Itataya ni Viloria ang kanyang suot na WBO flyweight crown, samantalang isusugal naman ni Marquez ang kanyang hawak na WBA flyweight belt.

Ibinabandera ni Viloria ang kanyang 31-3-0 win-loss-draw ring record kasama ang 18 knockouts, habang taglay ni Marquez ang kanyang 34-2-0 (26 KOs) card.

Inaasahan ni Marquez na magiging maaksyon ang kanilang upakan ni Viloria.

“It will be a great fight, a war, both of us come forward,” wika ni Marquez. “So the results should be explosive. That is what we want to give, a great fight to the fans, and win, that is the only thing on my mind, come out victorious, because I want to be the best and to do that I have to beat the best.”

Nasa undercard ng Viloria-Marquez unification fight ang non-title bout nina Filipino Drian Francisco (23-1-1, 18 KOs) at Mexican Javier Gallo (18-5-1, 10 KOs).
