Jodi, nagagamit ang kurso sa kanyang horror movie

Sa kauna-unahang pagkakataon ay nakagawa ng pelikula si Jodi StaMaria sa Regal Entertainment, Inc. Masayang-masaya ang aktres dahil natupad na ang isa sa kanyang mga pinapangarap lamang noon.

Magbibida si Jodi sa pelikulang Untold na malapit nang mapanood sa mga sinehan.  “I’m just happy because it has always been a dream to work with Regal Films. When I was just starting in the business, na sana one day I get to be a part of Shake, Rattle & Roll. Kasi I would watch ‘yung mga Regal Shocker. So now ‘yung dream na ‘yon, it happened. It took a while but then it still happened. So, I’m happy,” nakangiting pahayag nga aktres.

Ginagampanan niya ang karakter ni Vivian sa naturang horror film. Kahit nakagawa na ng mga pelikulang may kaparehong tema ay ibang-iba raw ngayon ang matutunghayan kay Jodi ng mga manonood. “The last horror film that I did was Clarita in 2019. It was focused on demonic possession. For this one, it’s more of there’s a lot of psychological tension going on with the character, and I guess that’s what drew me to it. Being a psychology graduate, parang na-excite ako kasi fee­ling ko ‘yung role na ginagawa ko, character study din siya,” paliwanag niya.

Aminado si Jodi na nahirapang gumawa nang magkasabay na proyekto. Gabi-gabing napapanood ang aktres sa Lavender Fields na kanyang pinagbibidahang serye, “’Yon talaga ‘yung naging challenge for me. Kasi hindi talaga ako nagsasabay ng dalawang proyekto. It’s just that when the script was offered, how do I say no to this one? Parang gusto ko din siya gawin. So, of course I do certain steps to be able to switch from Lavender to Vi­vian which is the name of my role here. Ang nangyayari is a lot of visualization and meditation plus a constant reminder of myself and each character. And then after the shoot tanggal ang character and then you go home as yourself. And then pagdating mo sa isang set, para kang nag-iba ng damit. Ako ulit si Lavender,” pagbabahagi ng aktres.

Lea, binantayan ang paggawa ng wax figure niya

Kamakailan ay nailunsad na sa publiko ang wax figure ni Lea Salonga na bahagi ng Madame Tussauds Wax Museum sa Singapore.

Isang malaking karangalan para sa singer na mapahanay sa unang listahan ng mga Pinoy celebrity na nagawan ng wax figure na matatagpuan naman sa Hong Kong. “There’s Catriona Gray, Manny Pac­quiao, Pia Wurtzbach, and now I’m number four. It feels really great. It feels great that there are these global, iconic representatives of our country immorta­lized in wax. I’m hoping that any Filipino visitor to any of the Madame Tussauds where these figures are present, when they come to visit, that they feel a sense of pride that we are there,” makahulugang pahayag ni Lea.

Ayon sa international singer ay mahabang proseso ang nangyari upang maisakatuparan ang paggawa ng kanyang was figure.

Binantayang mabuti ni Lea ang bawat detalye nito hanggang sa matapos. “It was a very long Sunday well spent. So many measurements taken, so many discussions on what is this pose going to look like, what are we trying to achieve with this particular likeness. So, throughout the process, my manager and I would get progress photos just to see everything as it’s happening. Every image that Madame Tussauds would send, I would have a mini freak-out because it’s like, ‘That’s me!’ There were different stages of everything and I would show things to my brother and my sister-in-law and the reactions were speechlessness. The gown is by Rajo Laurel. It was a very major team effort to get this dress to the artists that were working on this likeness, down to the color of my nail polish, the teeth, the lashes, and makeup. The jewelry I’m wearing that is what they based the likeness on. Down to the piercing of my left ear which aren’t occupied but they added that.
