DSWD namahagi ng payouts sa college students, parents

MANILA, Philippines — Nagsimula nang mamahagi ang Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) ng cash-for-work (CFW) payouts para sa mga college students na nagsilbing tutors at Youth Development Workers (YDWs), mga magulang at guardians ng elementary-beneficiaries ng Tara, Basa! Tutoring Program ng ahensiya.

“Tutors and YDWs under the program will receive cash-for-work in exchange for the tutorial and parenting sessions they have conducted with the grade school learners and parents,” sabi ni DSWD Asst. Secretary Irene Dumlao.

Aniya, nitong Agos­to 16 ay namahagi ang DSWD ng cash aid para sa mga beneficiaries ng programa sa Region 7 (Central Visayas), Region 12 (SOCCSKSARGEN), at Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

Ang 444 tutors at 230 YDWs mula sa Central Visayas ay tumanggap ng P9,360 bawat isa at ang 210 tutors at 105 YDWs mula BARMM ay tumang­gap ng P6,820 bawat isa habang ang 216 tutors at 48 YDWs mula sa SOCCSKSARGEN ay P8,060 bawat isa.

Ang halaga ng natanggap na cash aid ay para sa 20 reading at pa­renting sessions base sa regional minimum wage rate sa kanilang lugar. “A total of 7,709 parents and guardians of struggling and non-reader elementary students received their CFW amounting to Php4,700 each for attending 20 Nanay-Tatay teacher sessions,” sabi pa ni Dumlao.

Dagdag ni Dumlao, ongoing din ang payouts sa Region 3 (Central Luzon), CALABARZON, Eastern Visayas, at National Capital Region.
