28 tagasuporta ng NPA, sumuko

MANILA, Philippines - Umaabot sa 28  tagasuporta ng mga rebeldeng New People’s Army ang sumuko sa tropa ng military sa bayan ng Siaton, Negros Oriental kamakalawa. Ayon kay Maj. Ray Tiongson, hepe ng 3rd Division Public Affairs Office ng Philippine Army, ang mga nagsisuko ay kabilang sa  grupo ng Sangay sa Partido sa Localidad na pinamumunuan ni Rosalie “Pops” Nama, at ang Yunit Militia (YM) ng Lubos na Asosasyong Masa (LAM)/Solid Mass Association ni Diosdado “Dondi” Nama. Ayon kay Lt. Marion R. Sison ng 79th Infantry Battalion ng Phil. Army, ibinilang nilang biktima ang mga nagsisuko. “Indeed these mass surrender of the entire community previously encapsulated by the broken Communist ideologies is a gateway to a wider opportunity for its constituents, especially the youth,” dagdag pa ni Lt. Sison.
