Vinny Marcos co-chairman ng FIVB MWCH 2025 organizing committee

MANILA, Philippines — Mismong si Presidential son William Vincent “Vinny” Araneta Marcos ang uupo sa Local Organizing Committee (LOC) para matiyak ang tagumpay ng solo hosting ng bansa sa FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship 2025.

Si Marcos ang tatayong co-chairman ng LOC katuwang sina Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano at Department of Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco, habang si Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) head Ramon “Tats” Suzara ang presidente.

“I’m really confident and I believe everybody know’s what he or she’s doing,” sabi ng 25-anyos na si Marcos sa LOC na binubuo ng 17 Functional Areas at pamamahalaan ng mga taong responsable sa matagumpay na hosting ng 2019 Manila Southeast Asian Games at co-hosting ng FIBA 2023 World Cup.

Ang LOC Board ay binubuo nina Philippine Olympic Committee president  Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino, Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) chairman Richard Bachmann at MVP Group of Companies head Manuel V. Pangilinan.

“With Vince [Marcos] support complimenting the commitment of Senator Cayetano and Secretary Frasco, the Philippines is again guaranteed to be on the world sporting map this time in volleyball,” sabi ni Suzara sa idinaos na strategic sa BGC meeting na dinaluhan din ng iba pang PSC officials.

Pinahalagahan ni Cayetano, ang PNVF Chairman Emeritus, ang pamumuno ni Marcos sa FIVB 2025 hosting.

“It’s your (the next generation) turn. We really like having younger people in this committee because it’s about passing (the baton of leadership),” wika ni Cayetano kay Marcos.

Nauna nang nagbigay ng suporta si First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos sa hosting ng event na magtatampok sa Top 32 volleyball countries—kasama ang Pilipinas—sa Setyembre 12 hanggang 28 sa Smart Araneta Coliseum at SM Mall of Asia Arena.
