PNVF nag-bid sa men’s world meet hosting

MANILA, Philippines — Pinormalisa kahapon ng Pilipinas ang pag-bid sa pamamahala ng bigating FIVB Volleyball World Men’s Championship 2025 na tatampukan ng top 31 teams sa buong mundo kasama ang Philippine national team.

“As they say, teamwork makes the dream work and this meeting is a first major step towards the dream of a successful bid and eventual hosting of the men’s world championship,” ani Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) president Ramon “Tats” Suzara sa Special Briefing ng Philippines Bid to Host the FIVB Volleyball World Men’s Championship 2025 sa Grand Hyatt Manila sa BGC, Taguig City.

Nakatakda ang world meet sa Setyembre 12 hanggang 28.

Gagawin ng FIVB at ng Volleyball World ang isang formal announcement ng nanalong bidder sa katapusan ng Marso.

Nasa special meeting sina Sen. Pia Cayetano, T­ourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco at FIVB officials Volleyball World CEO Finn Taylor at Chief Business Officer Guido Betti.

Matagumpay na naidaos ng PNVF ang Volleyball Nations League (VNL) noong 2022 at 2023 na pinuri ng mga top FIVB officials.

Pinamahalaan ng PNVF ang men’s at women’s division ng VNL sa Smart-Araneta Coliseum noong 2022 at ang men’s leg sa SM Mall of Asia Arena noong 2023.

Ang nasabing dalawang venues ang posibleng gamitin para sa pagdaraos ng 2025 world championship.

Huling naglaro ang Pinas sa men’s world championship noong 1974 na idinaos sa Mexico.
