P1.4 bilyon lang hindi P6 bilyon ang natanggap sa PSC
MANILA, Philippines — Tanging P1.481 bilyon at hindi P6 bilyon ang natanggap ng Philippine Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee (Phisgoc) mula sa Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) para sa hosting ng 2019 Southeast Asian Games.
Ito ang nilinaw ni Phisgoc President at COO Ramon Suzara sa sulat na ipinadala nito kay POC Secretary General Atty. Edwin Gastanes.
“We clarify that out of the total P6 billion Philippine government budget for the 30th SEA Games under GAA2019, the PSC has only provided the amount of P1.481-B as financial support to the Organizing Committee,” ani Suzara.
Inilabas ni Suzara ang paglilinaw na ito matapos magbanta sina POC board member Jesus Clint Aranas at athletics chief Philip Ella Juico na magsampa ng kaso sa kawalan ng financial statement sa SEA Games expenses.
Kabilang sa mga posibleng sampahan ng kaso si POC president Bambol Tolentino.
“The PSC has only completed remitting this amount to Phisgoc on September 4, 2020, from which we settled the lawful and valid obligations incurred for the hosting of the 30th SEA Games covered by said financial support,” paliwanag ni Suzara.
Ayon pa kay Suzara, ang nalalabing P4.52 billion GAA2019 budget ay ipinasok sa Department of Budget Management Procurement Service, sa POC at sa PSC para naman sa equipment at services sa SEA Games.
Nilinaw pa ni Suzara na bahagi ng Phisgoc ang POC at PSC.
Iginiit ni Suzara na tinatapos na ng Phisgoc ang liquidation report sa natanggap nito mula sa PSC.
Sa oras na makumpleto ang lahat, agad itong isusumite sa PSC at handa rin ang Phisgoc na bigyan ng kopya ang POC.
“We shall finish our re-levant financial and operational reports in the coming weeks, and submit the same to the PSC copy furnished POC in due course,” dagdag ni Suzara.
