MANILA, Philippines — Kagaya ng ibang sports, nagdaraos din ang Philippine Taekwondo Association (PTA) ng online tournament sa gitna ng kinakaharap na coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.
Matapos ang matagumpay na local Speed Kicking Online Tournament ay iimbitahan ng PTA ang mga delegasyon mula sa Southeast Asia at iba pang mga bansa sa buong mundo.
“We can look forward on other aspects of training besides using online preparations,” sabi ni PTA grassroots director at ASEAN Taekwondo Federation (ATF) secretary-general Stephen Fernandez.
Idaraos ng PTA ang ASEAN Taekwondo Federation Speed Kicking Tournament ngayon kung saan lalahok ang Myanmar, Laos, Singapore, Indonesia, at Vietnam.
“In this way we can also promote online instructional and virtual competition programs of the association and spearheading the program for the youth,” dagdag ni Fernandez.
Sunod ding ilulunsad ng PTA ang Global Speed Kicking Championship sa Oktubre 23-25.
