Ninoy Aquino Stadium quarantine facility bukas na

MANILA, Philippines — Ang Ninoy Aquino Stadium sa Rizal Memorial Sports Complex sa Vito Cruz, Manila ay nai-convert na bilang ‘instant hospital’ at handa nang tumanggap ng mga COVID-19 positive patients na may mild symptoms pati na ang mga asymptomatic.

Ang nasabing 112-bed stadium na pamamahalaan ng Armed Forces of the Philippines Medical Corps ay may mga air-conditioned cubicles, plug-in outlets, libreng internet connection at oras-oras na pagmo-monitor ng medical staff.

May libreng pagkain din ang mga pasyente at frontliners sa lahat ng quarantine facilities na inihahanda ng national government.

Ang Prime BMD at Bloomberry Cultural Foundation, Inc. ng Razon Group ang kumilos para makumpleto ang NAS  quarantine facility sa loob ng limang araw.

Ang pasilidad ay ininspekyon nina National Task Force COVID-19 Chief Implementer Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr., Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana, Health Secretary Francisco Duque III, BCDA President and CEO at Presidential Adviser for Flagship Prog­rams and Projects Vince Dizon at Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Undersecretary Emil Sadain.

Ininspeksyon din nila ang dalawa pang quarantine facilities sa PICC at World Trade Center.

Ang pagtatayo ng mga instant hospitals sa Metro Manila at sa iba pang bahagi ng bansa ay isang joint effort ng national government at private sector para limitahan ang pagkalat ng COVID-19, paluwagin ang mga ospital sa Metro Manila at tiyakin ang proteksyon ng mga pasyen­teat frontliners.
